NC State Dining Adds Union ‘51 Burgers, Makus Empanadas and Elements Cafe to Fall Line-Up
NC State Dining is preparing for a new academic year with a full slate of open dining venues as well as a few new and exciting options.
Dining Halls
All three dining halls – Fountain, Clark and Case – full menus and operations return, including self-service salad bars and other build-your-own options.
Talley Student Union
One Earth will return to a la carte dining, with Sushi with Gusto returning to its original location and new grain bowl and hibachi concepts make their debut this fall at One Earth.
Red Sky Pizza will return to the Pavillions food court,
and all other options in the union will be open, including Tuffy’s Dinner, Los Lobos, Jason’s Deli, 1887 Bistro, Port City Java, Starbucks and Talley Market. 1887 Bistro will resume table service Monday – Friday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., but patrons will also be able to order through Grubhub from 5 – 9 p.m. and sit in the restaurant or take it to go.
Atrium Food Court
Two new options will be introduced at this popular food court in Hill Library. Union ‘51 Burgers will replace Zen Blossom, offering smashed burgers, tots and more. Makus Empanadas – a Durham-based Latin American restaurant with a presence in the popular Morgan Street Food Hall – will offer their delicious and portable savory pastries within the Brickyard Pizza venue.
Elements Cafe
A new coffee house will debut in Jordan Hall in September, featuring Caribou coffee and assorted grab-and-go items.
Shuttle Inn – Textiles
Shuttle Inn will begin carrying Sushi with Gusto along with a selection of grab-and-go beverages, snacks, sandwiches and salads. This will introduce fresh made-on-campus sushi to Centennial Campus along with the A
trium Food Court and One Earth in Talley.
Terrace – Lonnie Poole Golf Course
The Terrace is back Monday – Friday, with lunch from 11 am. – 3 p.m. and drinks and appetizers 3 – 6 p.m. A new counter order system with food delivered to your table offers great food in a casual and quick service environment.
Other Dining Options
Other locations will return, including Port City Javas across campus, Common Grounds, The Creamery, On the Oval Food Hall and the Wolves’ Den at the College of Vet Med. McKimmon Corner Cafe, D-Cafe and the State Club Restaurant will not return.
Mobile Ordering
Grubhub will continue to be the preferred method for ordering food at the on-campus restaurants. Students, staff and guests should download the app to peruse the menus and place their order. Students and staff can elect to connect their meal plans and payroll deduction respectively to pay.
