NC State Dining joins Spokin app’s Verified College Program
NC State Dining continues to expand resources for students with food restrictions by joining other major universities in the Spokin app’s Verified College Program.
The Spokin app aims to help those managing food allergies or celiac disease connect with local restaurants, bakeries and other food distributors with safe dining options. Spokin’s Verified College Program provides prospective students with the information necessary to determine which colleges can accommodate their dietary needs.
The app will save time and effort for both NC State Dining and prospective students by providing the university’s answers to FAQs regarding dietary accommodations on campus. Furthermore, the app allows current students to leave reviews about their dining experience, which may help prospective students decide
“The Verified College Program will help amplify NC State Dining’s exceptional efforts to create a safe and nutritious dining experience for all students,” said Lauren Smith, director of nutrition and wellness. “We hope it will help establish NC State as a nationally recognized allergy-friendly university.”
The Spokin app is currently available for iOS systems only. A version compatible with other systems will be released soon.
