One Earth Unveils New Salad Bar Concept

(October 13, 2017) NC State Dining is excited to announce the launch of a new create-you-own-salad bar concept at One Earth World Cuisine in Talley Student Union. The salad bar launched this week, enabling diners to customize their own salad from fresh, leafy greens to an assortment of delicious cheeses and crunchy vegetable toppings.

“We are always looking for opportunities to provide fresh, healthy options as well as the ability to customize according to taste,” said Shawn Hoch, associate director for NC State Dining. “Diners can top their salad with a protein — such as chicken breast, ham or chicken salad– plus they can choose from a rotating menu of composed salads, including house-made pasta and potato salads, roasted vegetables, and more. We have already received a lot of positive feedback about the addition.”

Salads are weighed at the cash register and are priced at 44 cents per ounce. Payment options include Meal Credits, Dining Dollars, AllCampus, credit, debit and cash.

As a part of NC State Dining’s commitment to sustainability, the salad bowl containers are compostable. In order to reduce landfill waste, guests are strongly encouraged to use the compost bins when discarding their salad containers.

One Earth’s Hours of Operation:
Monday – Thursday: 11:00 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday: 11:00 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday: Closed
